It's also good to know that you could secure a seat without having to get in line days in advance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8999648290761146346.post-28643853344230011842008-06-09T19:34:00.000-06:002008-06-09T19:34:00.000-06:00Hey, Reid, Maureen, Karen, and I were there in lin...Hey, Reid, Maureen, Karen, and I were there in line, too. We joined the line at about 6:30, and were quite a bit behind you. We barely got in as Obama started his speech, and found standing room only up on the top level of the Xcel. I think we were about at 6th street, if that helps your people vs. miles computations.

I thought it was a good speech ... though he seemed to be rushing through the first 2/3 or so. He kept stepping on the crowd's applause -- I think people would have been applauding for hours if he hadn't shouted them down :). The last 1/3 of the speech was remarkable, though. A great job with vision. (Though: even my daughter came out asking: "how is he going to pay for all that"?)

JohnJTRiedlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01281546440630845977noreply@blogger.com
