New Furniture

It seems that one of the things that happens when you get married is that you buy "grown-up" furniture. It costs a barking fortune.

Fancy new couch (or sofa? what's the difference anyway?).

Jess approves of the new mattress & box springs. Queen-size, not double. Getting old am I.

p.s. If you are as annoyed by Blogger's teeny-tiny edit box as I am, install Mark A. Ziesemer's wonderful Greasemonkey script for immediate joy.

Project 100 Complete

Some months ago, I started a Project 100, the goal being to post 100 photos on this blog, mostly daily. Some of you may have noticed that the count got up to 107 (which is more than 100) -- I wasn't sure what to do when I reached 100, so I just kept counting anyway.

One possibility was to continue with a "Project 1,000".

I really enjoy the format of posting photos here and then commenting on them, but I found numbering them tedious. Therefore, Project 100 is complete and I won't be starting another formal project right now. However, I'll continue posting photos with more or less the same frequency.

Perhaps I will create some automated way to count the photos posted. I do enjoy statistics like that.

I Have Readers I Don't Know

So, one of my older posts mused about how many houses John McCain owns and how the number (six) is excessive. Recently I've received a couple of comments on it from people I don't know. Interesting. Why might this be? Well (click for bigness)...

I'm kind of baffled how this happened, particularly since it doesn't seem to be an obscure search (1M+ hits). But... cool huh?

(Incidentally, if you read this blog and I don't know you, please comment. I'd love to know how and why you found it.)
